AvtoVAZ to halt assembly at plants from Sat amid parts deficit
MOSCOW, Mar 3 (PRIME) -- Russian largest carmaker AvtoVAZ will suspend cars assembly at its plants in Izhevsk and Togliatti due to a disruption in electric components supplies, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
“Due to the ongoing crisis in the supply of electronic components and in order to prevent a significant decrease in the level of income of the company’s employees, the administration of AvtoVAZ has made the following decisions about the work schedule of the Togliatti and Izhevsk facilities: March 5, 2022 is declared a day of downtime with pay.
